Madstad Adjustable Windshield System for Kawasaki KLR650 (2008 - 2018)

What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.

  • Black hardened acrylic base plate and mounting hardware
  • A set of Madstad adjustable brackets
  • Rear support brackets
  • Acrylic windshield
  • All required mounting hardware

The Madstad adjustable brackets sit out in front of your fairing on black fly screen which attaches in place of the factory shield. With the windshield now separated from the front of the bike and the fly screen helping to deflect wind up from underneath, you have total control over the shield height, angle and airflow. This lets you dial in a smooth ride and quieter cockpit far better than any fixed windshield can provide.

Colors & sizing   How to measure video: https://youtu.be/biFx4_vVGG4

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).

3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

Transform your ride
Madstad's patented mounting system allows riders to adjust the height and angle of their motorcycle windshield resulting in much smoother airflow, better wind protection and a more comfortable ride than any fixed windshield can provide.

I suggest saving your money if you ride a Tracer.

I find no measurable reduction in turbulence or noise unless I crounch down. Adjusting the angle from near verticle to max swept back just puts my helmet back in the breeze. Save your money.
swept back

Thank you for leaving your review Dennis. It seems you've tried working with multiple angles, but wanted to be sure you've also tried the height settings. Adjusting up to mouth level or higher is the goal. If you're unable to get the windshield to that setting, please contact us at support@madstad.com. We'll let you know the details on getting a taller size.

Thank you,
Madstad Support

I now have all 3 shades of the windshield for my Ultra Limited. Nice to be able to change the tint depending on the weather. Would be helpful to get new screws and gaskets with each windshield. As they get worn as they age and get harder to reuse after each change and too easy to loose. It's a challenge not losing one piece each time. That is the only draw back to these great windshields.

windscreen replacement

My bike had a clear windscreen that was to tall for me, and clear. Ordered a light gray o e in a smaller hight. Came quickly and installed easily. query happy.

Easy to install, solid shield, wish there was a 25"

With the downloaded instructions installation was a breeze. I bought the tallest height (24"), but I could use another inch to get it under my nose. It still blocks enough wind to quiet my helmet though, it out doesn't move it flex at high speeds.
