All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

Overall nice product. Took me 3 or so adjustments to get the angle and height dialed in, so the airflow now has minimal buffeting (I am 5'10"). I really like the compactness of the quick release mount for when I ride without the screen. Took me about 30 mins to do the install. I chose the smoke color and am happy I did.
I have a couple of cons to report. First the shipping time, as noted by others, is too long-- almost 4 weeks! Secondly, there is no buffer padding where the QR mount contacts the painted surfaces of the handle bar brackets. I had some thin rubber stripping that I used to protect the surfaces. Finally, the thumb screws that allow adjustment of the tilt and height of the screen are on the cheapo side and detract from the overall quality of the product.
Hey Steve, thanks for leaving your review. We're glad that you find the windshield system nice overall and that you were able to dial in some clean airflow. We also appreciate the feedback on the shipping time and understand waiting stinks. For what it's worth, that is not the norm for us, and we appreciate you hanging in there. As of this reply, we're now shipping orders inside 2 weeks, coming off of the hurricane Milton fun times.
And noted regarding the contact. We can include cushion stripping in the kits. With the knobs, you can be assured that they are durable and will last a long time. They are constructed from high-grade abs and aluminum. The milled cone portion will seat inside the bracket top and lock the windshield into place.

I want to share what a remarkable transformation this Madstad windshield made to my 2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+. I can now ride comfortably without any buffeting. The two lower side deflectors really make the difference! This windshield is by far, in my humble opinion, the best solution in terms of allowing this motorcycle to be experienced in its fullest. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely love the screen supplied. Tinted, it looks like it should have been supplied as standard by Yamaha . It works great the ride is now a lot quieter and I would say if your in the market for a screen it will be hard to beat.

This was my third Madstad Screen. Initially bought on for my 2009 Vstrom and did many kilometers with it on and enjoyed the freedom from wind buffeting and insect hitting the visor on my helmet.
Unfortunately, my most recent purchase was the result of a stationary drop of my current bike, a 2012 Vstrom 650 that smashed the existing screen into three pieces
It is certainly equally as good as my first two screens, love the way I can ride with my visor up and not had insects hitting me in the face or wind causing discomfort.
A little bit of turbulence with a cross wind but otherwise an excellent product.
I am 5 feet 11inches tall and I purchased the 20inch screen. I live in Perth Western Australia and insects can be a real hazard at certain times of the year. I recently (July) rode a BMW with only a short screen in Norway. I was constantly feeling and seeing the impact of insects on my helmet visor and had to clean it every night. Would not have been a problem if I had a Madstad screen
