madstad-windsheild-slider-1 madstad-windsheild-slider-1 Triumph Thunderbird Storm Bundle

Two great products for Triumph Thunderbird Storm (2011 & up) - bundled together for great savings!

Adjustable Windshield System for Triumph Thunderbird Storm (2011 & Up)

Our complete drop-in system requires no modification and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield:

  • Fork-mount quick-release base plates
  • Quick-detach adjustable windshield brackets
  • Touring windshield
  • All requires mounting hardware

Additional optional components:

  • Quick-detach lower deflectors (create a smoother ride)
  • Quick-detach fly screen (short dark sport screen)

The touring shield is positioned in front of your instrument cluster and the adjustable brackets allow you to set it for the most comfortable airflow depending on your particular height and riding position. Adjustability is critical for smooth comfortable wind protection while looking over the shield, not through it!

Removing or attaching the windshield simply takes a flip of two locking tabs then the brackets with shield slide right up off of the forks. Only a small bracket on each side is left behind (see photos). NOTE: The shield on the silver Storm is an 18 inch Light Gray, and on the red Storm is a 20 inch Light Gray. The fly screen is on a Rocket III but is just about identical on the Storm.

All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16"" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

Lower Deflectors Kit for Triumph Thunderbird Storm (2011 & Up)

This is an ADD-ON product.

It requires that you already have the Madstad touring shield system. These lowers will NOT attach without the touring shield brackets. This kit includes:

  • Quick-detach lowers brackets
  • 13" tall lower deflectors
  • All required mounting hardware

You can order these to match your touring shield color.   (PHOTO SHOWS MOUNTED WITH REQUIRED COMPLETE WINDSHIELD SYSTEM)

Very good at blocking wind

Based on reviews I expected a well designed and well engineered windshield for my V-Strom 650 and it lived up to my expectations. The OEM windshield was aweful and the first one I used to replace it was not much better. Both were too narrow, especially in the lower section, and both were angled to create significant backdraft around my torso. The wider body and the adjustable angle feature of the Madstad made all the difference in that regard. Cudos also to their customer service. My initial measurements were off so I took advantage of their 50% off replacement offer to purchase a slightly taller windscreen and the folks at Madstad made this quick and easy. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend Madstad windshields highly.

Excellent product and service

A couple months back I bought a competitors windshield for my 2011 Bonneville SE. No matter how I adjusted it, the wind buffeting was horrible. I decided to bite the bullet. And by the Madstad. It took a little over a month to get it, but it was worth the wait. The installation was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. I set the angle to 60 degrees, and it was perfect on the very first ride. No need for further adjustment. The buffeting is gone.

20" madstad on '18 bmw gs adv.

recently, i bought a ’18 bmw GS adv.
it had a number plate sized windshield and i wanted a real windshield, after coming off a bmw RT.

i found madstad and liked the design of it. smooth versus the stock or puig with the creases in it. i ordered the 20” as i am 5’11” (inseam 30”).

while having installed, the dealership had a used gs with a puig and begged to ride it just to test the windshield. it was good.

riding the madstad since, i love it. i have it adjusted so that i am just looking over the top. i can ride at any speed with my helmet visor up and zero helmet buffeting. 10 out of 10.

KLR 650 22”

Took a few minutes tweaking the brackets to get everything lined up but mounting was pretty straightforward…very happy with the improvement in air flow… much more comfortable riding now 😬
