Looks great, Install not so good

I currenly have 2 slingshots with this windshield system. I love it. The first one I got almost a year ago and went on great. No problems. The second one however was not so easy. The second slingshot is my daughter's . She wanted to install it herself. After about 2 hours she came in frustrated as she could not get the windshield to line up. I went to help and saw the side brackets that hold the windshield and the titening nuts came assembled in reverse. I compared to mine and yep, not a huge issue, but does not look good on quality control from Madstad, which i was really suprised about as we had waited over a month for this windshield understanding it is a custom product and takes time to make. That being said, you would think the quality control would be better, again it was all there, it all works after having to flip the brackets, but disappointing that they were sent out like that.

Thank you for leaving your review. We're happy that you choose our windshield system for your family's slingshots. Apologies this one arrived with the top brackets reveresed, thanks for solving.

Have fun out there!

Easy install u

Usually when I get an aftermarket part . I have to reengineer it to fit on my bike . This bolted together effortlessly every hole lined up and it’s rock solid. Took about 1 1/2 hr it was actually relaxing putting it together. Looks incredible , works great.

Very good at blocking wind

Based on reviews I expected a well designed and well engineered windshield for my V-Strom 650 and it lived up to my expectations. The OEM windshield was aweful and the first one I used to replace it was not much better. Both were too narrow, especially in the lower section, and both were angled to create significant backdraft around my torso. The wider body and the adjustable angle feature of the Madstad made all the difference in that regard. Cudos also to their customer service. My initial measurements were off so I took advantage of their 50% off replacement offer to purchase a slightly taller windscreen and the folks at Madstad made this quick and easy. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend Madstad windshields highly.

Excellent product and service

A couple months back I bought a competitors windshield for my 2011 Bonneville SE. No matter how I adjusted it, the wind buffeting was horrible. I decided to bite the bullet. And by the Madstad. It took a little over a month to get it, but it was worth the wait. The installation was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. I set the angle to 60 degrees, and it was perfect on the very first ride. No need for further adjustment. The buffeting is gone.
