Madstad Adjustable Windshield System for Kawasaki Versys 1000 (2012 - 2018)
What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield:
- Madstad adjustable brackets
- Acrylic windshield
- All required mounting hardware
These brackets work on both the 650 and 1000 Versys. They attach to the factory windshield mounts and our windshield then attaches to the brackets. With the shield separated from the front of the bike you can adjust it for the optimum height, angle and airflow. This lets you set the shield for your particular height and riding position while pulling lots of air underneath it which is critical for smooth comfortable wind protection.
All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:
1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.
2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).
3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.
All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

I love my Honda CTX DCT, but the kickstand never felt sturdy enough to fully support the bike—especially on uneven ground. After it tipped over last year as I approached it, I knew I needed a more stable solution. I’m happy to say I finally found it! Easy to install and a total game-changer. Confident, secure, and a joy to use

Super easy to install and works fantastic! As a side note, I ordered my windshield too tall. I installed the windshield, and used some painter's tape to establish the correct height. I placed some poster board behind the windshield and traced the contours of the edge on the poster board. I covered the top several inches of the windshield with the painter's tape and used the poster board pattern to mark on the tape where I needed to cut it down. I then cut the windshield down using a Dremel with a 1 1/2" cut off wheel for plastic, sanded the cuts, and used a small torch to heat the edges. Ended up perfect. I took off about 2 1/4" - so the point is be careful to measure what size windshield you need to avoid the extra work above, but you can modify it if you have too.

This windshield is unbelievable better than others. My head used to Shake on the highway: not anymore!

I was a tiny bit confused with the install directions at first, then my brain slapped me and everything made sense. The install was actually rather simple and the end product was a very nice fly screen that moves just enough wind to make the ride that much more comfortable. Very happy with the product.

I wanted good wind control for highway use on my 2024 Bonneville T120. I tried another windshield, which honestly looked a little more retro and was a little less expensive, but it didn't work as well as I wanted. I'm 6'1" and have a tall torso, so I need something pretty tall. I purchased the Madstad 24 inch windshield with the lower deflectors. It was easy to install and is easy to remove. I appreciate the adjustability and was able to dial it in to eliminate the helmet buffeting that was present with the first windshield. I placed the top of the windshield at the level of the tip of my nose. I look over the windshield while riding and enjoy good wind protection. The windshield and hardware seem well designed and high quality.
