What's included in the kit
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.

We have created fork-mounted adjustable brackets that position a fully adjustable shield which sits over the headlight and just ahead of your instrument panel. Our brackets let you adjust the shield for the optimum height, angle and airflow for your particular height and riding position. Be comfortable looking over the shield, not through it.
Riding is believing
Adjustability of the shield helps eliminate the vacuum that is the primary cause of most turbulence. The result? Smooth airflow placed exactly where it’s desired. Most customers have found that they can actually get better wind protection with our smaller adjustable shield rather than a larger fixed one. You don't have to compromise wind protection to enjoy the open-air motorcycling experience!
Size and Color
While the MadStad windshield systems are fully adjustable, we recommend starting with the appropriate shield size relative to rider height.

HOW TO MEASURE: Sit on the bike in riding position and measure (or have a friend hold the tape measure) straight up from the ignition switch. Look straight ahead and estimate where your chin level is, then add either 3 or 4 inches, whichever gets you to an even number. For example, if you estimate your chin level is at about the 14 inch line on the tape measure then order our 18 inch windshield. There are two inches of adjustment in our brackets so if you are in-between you can always slide the shield up a bit. We can also accommodate extra short or tall riders by special request.
All MadStad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic and are available in four different tint colors. See photos for comparison image.
