I’m 72 live in Maine, got 24” medium tint. It’s perfect! If it’s cool or wet put it on max, otherwise medium or low. Pic with water in background is stock windshield. I’m 6’1” and can see over the top on max up. Construction is rock solid everything is snug and fit perfectly.
I’ve heard so many good things about these shields that I had to try one for myself. It installed it on my 2008 GL1800 without a problem and I really like the lower bracket shield for mounting my gps and phone (I made my own bracket for each). Although the weather here in Idaho has made riding not available yet this spring, I am so looking forward to giving it a try as soon as the weather is nice enough.
perfect fit but maybe too wide

Unfortunately I cannot give this a screen a good review. I bought the flyscreen system for the Triumph Rocket 3 (2012 Roadster in my case), because the standard small screen was not giving enough protection, and I didn't really like the look of it either. I was apprehensive given the cost of shipping to Australia is astronomical (130 USD?!), but I really liked the look of the Madstad flyscreen for it, so I bit the bullet.
Shipping was fast and correct. Product is very well made and sturdy, installation was very easy and straightforward with supplied hardware and instructions. Looks great on the bike. Screen is very easy to remove and install.
Riding it however, is very different. I am of average height, 5'11" or 180cm. The buffeting on my head is so bad that over about 50mph I can't even see straight. The white line on the road gets blurred and I get a massive headache. The wind does not hit my chest/neck area, but rather directly at my eye level, smashing my head around like crazy. If i sit back on the pillion seat while riding or move my head to either side of the screen, the wind is smooth as silk even at 70-80mph+. Sitting right where I need to sit is a nightmare.
Therefore I can only recommend this screen for the Rocket 3 if you are probably 6'4" or above. If the wind was hitting in the right spot, it would be great.
“Before their install, I suffered from the constant, unmitigated buffeting at speeds above 40 mph. Now I can hear the engine, and that's a sound I like!"
“I have a stack of other windshields. I've bought over the years before I discovered the Madstad system, and none of them compare. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Madstad first!"
“Long rides at freeway speeds were the worst because of the buffeting. I installed the 18" Madstad screen, keeping it at the lowest setting, and the buffeting is gone. I now have a nice quiet air flow around my head and upper torso, regardless of speed.”
