Madstad Quick-Release Adjustable Windshield System for Triumph Scrambler 1200 (2019 & up)

What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.

  • Madstad fork mount base brackets
  • Madstad quick-release adjustable brackets
  • Acrylic windshield (22 inch size shown in photos)
  • All required mounting hardware

Our base brackets bolt to the sides of your forks through two of the four pinch bolts on each side. The adjustable windshield brackets snap on and off of those base brackets without tools and are held in place by spring-loaded latches. Once attached you will be able to set the shield for your particular height and riding position for smooth comfortable wind protection while looking over the shield, not through it! Our brackets are made of heavy-duty stainless steel so you can ride on or off pavement with confidence.

Colors & sizing    How to measure video: https://youtu.be/biFx4_vVGG4

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).

3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

Transform your ride
The tiny factory "touring" shield protects your instrument cluster from the wind, but not much else. Our much larger shields give you full upper body wind protection and our patented adjustable system lets you dial in your best height and angle for much smoother airflow without turbulence or buffeting. Have superior comfort like no other so you can truly enjoy your bike. In addition our quick-release system lets you snap it off and on to go from touring shield to original bike in just seconds. It's the best of both worlds!

My view

Starting from the beginning first let me say that the actual windshield itself appears to be a very very high quality material and very thick. FYI the screws and bolts come all together in one bag and you have to decipher which 1 goes with which even though the instructions give you a number for the screws the screws themselves are not numbered. So that's something I think the company can work on taping the group of screws that go with each item. Other than thatIt's pretty simple installation once you figure out which screws and bolts go together the whole thing works very well if you have a sports cruiser type bike I would strongly suggestion go with the biggest size. Since you can move it up and down if you are looking for that type of windshield you are obviously looking for wind protection and the largest in my case is the best. I did not particularly get the largest because I thought it might be too big now I'm contemplating going through the exchange process So I will be contacting this company to see exactly how that works otherwise this review is about quality and the quality is there.

Thanks for leaving your review Carlos. Very glad that you're finding that the quality of the windshield meets with your standards. The feedback regarding hardware is a good one and we're looking into ways to organize the hardware pack layout across the line. In regards to another size, please take a look at our FAQ page. It lays out how to go about getting another size (or color) windshield at 50% discount. There's no exchange, so you keep the first one. Great quality, resolved buffeting issue

Great quality, small side shields that come in the package caused trubulent air on my helmet. Once I removed them everything was great.

Solid Windshield

I will admit that I do not have a ton of time behind this new windshield yet. But I have owned Madstads on previous motorcycles and had good results. I expect nothing less for this set up. So far so good, main issue was buffering with the previous windshield. None currently! For me personally I prefer the rubber bushing mounted screen, so I do not mind a little vibration wiggle that I read about in a few reviews. As for quality? No concerns there, well built in my opinion! No fitment issues what so ever! For reference, 6'2" all upper body with short legs! I ordered a 22". Now currently I have about 3/4" of adjustment left in vertical height, if needed? My guess is if I had ordered a 24", It would be run at the lowest position, versus the 22 being close to the max adjustment. Kind of splitting hairs, as to which size might have been better. No complaints and yes I would definitely buy again.... Might buy a 24" just incase! Even with the hurricanes, I still got my shield in a decent time frame! And greatly appreciated Madstad taking time to reach out and say hey... we're having some delays! Best wishes!

Huge improvement

A little tricky but lucky for me I had some new rubber pieces to replace old original klr 650 windshield hardware that's required for installation - but is not included... I would not of been able to put it on if I had to use original parts. Otherwise very nice.

Thank you for leaving your review. Very glad you're getting a huge improvement. And thanks for the feedback regarding installation, we'll make mention of this tip.
