madstad-windsheild-slider-1 madstad-windsheild-slider-1 Triumph Rocket 3 R/GT Motorcycle Windshield By Madstad (2020 & Up)

Madstad Adjustable Pivoting Windshield System for Triumph Rocket 3 R or GT (2020 & Up)

What's included
Our complete drop-in system requires no modification and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield:

  • Dash-mount pivoting windshield brackets BLACK POWDER COATED
  • Touring windshield
  • All required mounting hardware

In stock mode the shield is positioned down against the fairing, just like the stock shield on the Rocket 3 GT. You will still get wind protection like this because our shield is quite a bit larger than stock. The magic happens when you pull out two locking plungers which allows the system to pivot up and lock in the forward position. Now you can have highway comfort without turbulence, fully adjustable like all of our other systems. When tilting the brackets back down again there is no need to change the angle or height so you can instantly snap back to highway mode without any further adjustments.

Will our brackets work with the stock GT shield? Yes, but you can see in the photos how small that factory shield is (10" wide by 13-3/4" tall) so you won't get much wind protection out of it.

Madstad shield height above the gas tank:

18 inch shield: 15-17 inches
20 inch shield: 17-19 inches
22 inch shield: 19-21 inches
24 inch shield: 21-23 inches

Colors & sizing    How to measure video: https://youtu.be/biFx4_vVGG4

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).

3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

Transform your ride
Is it a laid-back flyscreen, or is it an upright touring shield? It's both! Madstad's new adjustable bracket system allows riders to keep the laid-back angle of the stock shield for around-town riding, or pivot and lock the shield forward for great highway wind protection. Either way you can adjust the height and angle of the shield for smooth airflow, better wind protection and a more comfortable ride than any fixed windshield can provide. It only takes seconds to snap the system from upright to laid back, and no tools are needed.

Good quality product!

I purchased and installed a 24” adjustable shield on my 2014 Honda CTX700N. I thought that I would need a 2nd set of hands to mount it, but it went really easy. I’m glad that I went with the 24” instead of a shorter one.

18 inch on my Speedmaster

Just installed my new Madstad windshield on my 24 Speedmaster. It has been a long time since riding a bike without a fairing or something to stop the direct wind, grit and bugs from beating me up. I need to play with the adjustments still but it helped a ton. If you're figuring the height do know that the lowest setting would just be tickling the headlight and would go up around 2" from there. A picture I saw showed it off the headlight about an inch when measuring, if I had to do it again I probably would have ordered a 20". The only other thing I ran into was after I mounted the quick release brackets I noticed they were just a touch inside the triple trees which would have made the brackets rub against them and I would have had to use force to slide the shield on. Leaving the brackets securely mounted I placed a crescent wrench with a rag in the jaws, and snugged it on the bracket and rotated it outward gently. It only needed to go about a 1/16 on each side. It worked perfectly and and the shield slid on effortlessly.

Great windshield!

Installation was easy and the windshield is a great improvement over the stock unit. Very comfortable riding without ear plugs now unless I'll be at sustained highway speeds where no windshield will help with the engine and tire noise, but it sure reduces the buffering on my helmet on the highway.

Installed on my Moto Guzzi V85tt. Easy to install and adjust. I went with 24” and will adjust up from the bottom setting probably 1”. Definitely made a difference over the stock Windshield. Only issues is I lost my factory GPS mount. It would be nice if Madstad would come up with a mount for their Windshields.

890r windscreen

Big upgrade from stock! Thanks! Wondering if I should have some grommets/ threaded around? If they come loose? Thanks

Thank you for leaving your review, Daniel. Glad you're enjoying the upgrade!

For the windshield the side deflectors hardware, so long as the back of the rubber well nut is swollen bigger than the hole when tightening the screws, then you should not have any issues. We recommend only using a hand screwdriver for this. But if you would like spares, we have a hardware pack under Accessories ---- Replacement Parts. It has backup screws, washers and well nuts. Otherwise, please contact us at support@madstad.

Have fun out there!
