Madstad Quick-Release Adjustable Windshield System for Suzuki SV650 (2017 & up)

What's included
Our complete drop-in quick-release system is custom-made for the SV650 and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification. Here are the system components:

  • Fork-mount quick release brackets
  • Adjustable shield brackets
  • Acrylic windshield
  • Solid aluminum 7/8" crossbar
  • All required mounting hardware

The quick-release base brackets mount to your forks. The adjustable shield brackets lock onto the base and with the shield system attached you can adjust it for the optimum height, angle and airflow to dial in the comfort for your particular height and riding position. We included a long 7/8" crossbar both for stability and so you can mount your smartphone or GPS unit up higher front-and-center where you can more easily see it.

If you want to go back to stock the original bike configuration simply release the locking plungers and slide the system off. Keep in mind that the crossbar, and anything you may have mounted to it, will also come off with the system.

Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

Colors & sizing    How to measure video: https://youtu.be/biFx4_vVGG4

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).

3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

Transform your ride
Get that pressure off of your face and chest! Madstad’s quick-release mounting system gives you touring comfort on your original bike. Adjust the height and angle of our windshield to dial in smooth airflow and a more comfortable ride while still looking over the shield. You can switch back to original bike in seconds, without tools, however you will be so much more comfortable you may not want to!

Madstad Engineering Windscreen for 2024 DR 650

I purchased the clear 22" windscreen.
I am 6 ft tall while sitting on the stock seat.
The quality seems very good.
Installation was very easy with recommended requirements.
Reason I purchased the 22" size windscreen was for more options available for adjustments to eliminate wind issues.
Full adjusted height provides my eyesight just below the top of the windscreen. There are no problems with visibility.
Fully lowered adjustment provides good windscreen issues at lower speeds below 45 mph.
I experience no wind buffeting with my visored helmet while fully extended at max adjusted height above 45 mph.
This product has significantly improved the issue of no wind on my helmet and chest.
If there is any improvement needed, I would suggest more windscreen contour protection near bottom of screen to eliminate wind on arms when riding at speeds above 45 - 50 mph.
Overall this is a product will solve most wind issues.

The windshield is too tall. In the lowest position
I have to look thru the windshield to see in front of me.
I ordered the 18 inch because it's the shortest offered.
If it were 2 inches shorter on top, it would be perfect.
I haven't ridden with it mounted yet so I cannot give a good evaluation of how it performs in the wind.

Thanks for leaving your review Rick. We attempt to provide shoppers with enough information to determine where the windshield will be in relation to line of site prior to ordering. But we also recognize it's not a perfect science or customers might not catch the sizing info.

We'll be emailing you tips on trimming down the shield yourself. We'll also include information about our program which allows you to order another size within 45 days at 50%. This would be the windshield only, you send us nothing back. A 16' can be made for you if that works out to be a better size.

Thank you - Madstad Support

Extremely satisfied

I’m extremely satisfied with the 24” windshield for my 2012 Honda NC700X. Installation was straightforward. I used the factory screws to push the factory well nuts through after watching a YouTube video. I intended this windshield to be for winter riding, but the wind noise was so minimal on today’s test ride that I just might end up using this one year round.
