Madstad's patented mounting system allows riders to adjust the height and angle of their motorcycle windshield resulting in much smoother airflow, better wind protection and a more comfortable ride than any fixed windshield can provide.
What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.
- Black aluminum base plate (replaces the stock windshield)
- Madstad adjustable brackets
- Acrylic windshield
- All required mounting hardware
The Madstad base plate replaces your stock shield, and our adjustable brackets bolt to this new base. With the shield separated from the fairing, it scoops air up underneath which is critical for eliminating vacuum and turbulence. You can then adjust the new shield for height and angle to dial in the most comfortable airflow, allowing you to ride in total comfort while looking over the top of the shield at any speed.
All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.
Riding is believing
With the windshield separated from the fairing riders now have control over the height and angle of the shield to eliminate the vacuum that is the primary cause of most turbulence. The result? Smooth airflow placed exactly where it’s desired. Most customers have found that they can actually get better wind protection with our smaller adjustable shield rather than a larger fixed one. You don't have to compromise wind protection to enjoy the open-air motorcycling experience!
Colors & sizing
All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.
2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).
3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.
All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

THE MOST COMFORTABLE WIND PROTECTION A MOTORCYCLE CAN HAVE

Definite improvement in airflow, smoothness and buffeting. Definitely less than ideal for night riding though. Frosting on the lower half of the shield is bright enough to make eye adjustment to reduced light difficult and light is transmitted through the entire periphery of the screen akin to a fiber optic tree. Very distracting. Workmanship on all metal components is superb, cut quality on the acrylic is jagged but not sharp.

Do not buy the shortest length windshield it is useless. It will improve from the stock one barely but have tons of buffeting. Raising the shield up is useless. So plan to have the windshield in the low position only. I was expecting this pricey kit to be worth it but it’s probably better to get one of the alternative brands. This brand does not stand by their product or offer any help or support. I was also missing a lot of the hardware on the delivery and they wouldn’t let me get another size screen at discount after their super strict scam policy.

We developed the sizing guideline in an effort to show customers in advance where the windshield will be position on their motorcycle prior to purchasing. This method uses a place on the motorcycle to measure up from. So far it's worked a lot better than a simple rider height size-to-windshield size match. Obvioulsy it did not work for you.
In order to be fair to all of our customers, we do make a point to adhere to our published new size windshield policy. In an effort to inform shoppers, we post this information on the FAQ page and put a 'Return & Exchange Policy' link at the bottom of every page. This way shoppers can make an informed decision in advance of buying our windshield systems.
The policy states 45 days from delivery date to contact us. Your purchase was on 12/31/24. Your first email to us was on 3/16/25, which is well past the 45 days. You did not mention hardware in your email, so please let us know if you're requiring anything. (support@madstad.com)

A perfect replacement windshield for my Can Am F3 Spyder.

I'm happy with it. I got an 18 inch, but I wish I would have gotten 20 inch. I used their recommended method of choosing a size, but I would have been happier with the 20 inch; word to the wise.

The time I order and received this windshield for my 23 Bonnie didn’t take that long in a good condition installed right away took me less than an hour , the only one negative I can say is that I’m 5’7” I order the 20” is a bit too high for me it’s eye level it’s can off disturbing just have to get use to where too look , really good product thanks Ed
