  • Madstad Adjustable Windshield System for Yamaha Tracer 900 (2019 - 2020)

    What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.

    • Black stainless steel mounting plate (compatible with RAM Ball Mount #RAM-B-309-1U)
    • A set of Madstad adjustable brackets
    • Acrylic side deflectors
    • Acrylic windshield

The side deflectors block lower airflow to keep your cockpit comfortable. Our base plate includes holes for mounting a GPS bracket front and center behind the windshield so you can have it just below your line of sight, a nice bonus! The GPS bracket is NOT included.

All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

Colors & sizing    How to measure video: https://youtu.be/biFx4_vVGG4

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

    1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

    2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).

    3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

    Transform your ride
Turn your Tracer 900 or 900 GT in to a comfort touring machine! Madstad's patented mounting system allows riders to adjust the height and angle of their motorcycle windshield resulting in much smoother airflow and a more comfortable ride. Our windshield is 2-3 inches wider than stock with no deep cutouts so you get a huge increase in wind protection and comfort (see photos).

    Customer Testimonials
"I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for making my Yamaha Tracer a joy to ride. I was having some serious buyer's remorse due to the buffeting and noise from the atrocious stock screen, but now I'm completely in love with the bike after installing the Madstad. Keep up the good work!"
    - Tim N., Salem, OR

"Greetings! Got my new windscreen and installed it. Took a couple o'rides. It's a winner! Very nicely made. Thank you!"
    - Joe M., Frenchtown, NJ

    Riding is believing
With the wider and fully adjustable windshield, riders now have a much smoother pocket of protection so you can relax and enjoy the ride. If you want more air simply tilt the shield back and allow more airflow in giving you versatility that the factory system simply can't provide.

    Good but not great.

I did a lot of research on wind screens before purchasing this. My short assessment is this: It's a well built, nice windshield but not worth spending $300 on. I've also used the Givi touring screen and this is only marginally better. If Givi and Madstad were the same price, I would choose Madstad, but it's just not better enough to justify $300.
I have the Madstad 22" on my 2018 CB500X and have extensively utilized the various adjustments in my testing.

    Great windscreen!

Excellent design and quality. Love the adjustability. Great protection. Had some manufacturing defects that I communicated with them which i believe should warrant a replacement but so far have been unresponsive. Disappointed about that.

    Adds a touch of class

Love the new improved look of my GL1800 with the tinted Madstad windshield. Its strong looking sleek design adds a touch of class to the bike. Its very effective in changing the wind around myself and my rider. Small adjustments make big changes in the wind patterns. Still looking for the sweetest spot but getting close. Some adjustment indicators on the brackets would be a welcome addition. I don't like that fact that the screws holding the brackets could actually damage the dash of your Goldwing if your not careful or accidentally release the factory adjustment. They even have a warning of this in the instructions, for this reason I don't believe this to be a truly custom fit. I feel like I paid for a 10 but only got an 8 1/2. Overall I think its a great looking windshield that's quite effective for its purpose.

    I can see clearly now...

The replacement windshield arrived promptly and unscathed. The fitment to my original madstad hardware was perfect! Great job, Madstad!

“Before their install, I suffered from the constant, unmitigated buffeting at speeds above 40 mph. Now I can hear the engine, and that's a sound I like!"

“I have a stack of other windshields. I've bought over the years before I discovered the Madstad system, and none of them compare. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Madstad first!"

“Long rides at freeway speeds were the worst because of the buffeting. I installed the 18" Madstad screen, keeping it at the lowest setting, and the buffeting is gone. I now have a nice quiet air flow around my head and upper torso, regardless of speed.”
