  • Madstad Ultimate Bumper for Polaris Slingshot (2015 - 2019)

    Transform your ride
Madstad’s Ultimate Bumper upgrades your Slingshot with an all-aluminum front that is lean and mean with dual spotlight bars and more ground clearance than the factory plastic wing. Much stronger than the factory wing, the Ultimate Bumper replaces it and attaches directly to the frame. There are no steel parts to rust, and no plastic panels to crack!

    Customer testimonial
"I just wanted to send you all a message to thank you for an outstanding product. At first I was leery of the price, but when it came in and I saw it, I was totally impressed. Thank you again for such a great product. Oh, and by the way, I talked to one of my group members who went to an OEM front spoiler, and it ended up costing him $1,400.00 to replace it. My money was well spent. When I am on the road this coming riding season, you can bet that I will be spreading your name around. Nothing but praise for you. Respectfully, Larry M."

Our drop-in bumper kit requires no drilling and no modification to your Slingshot. It comes in small sections which are easy to bolt together, then attaches to the frame as one complete lightweight assembly.

Grilles and Colors: Two center grille designs are available, a Slotted style which has a similar design as the bumper inserts, and a Honeycomb. The center grille and the panel below it are powder coated a satin black color to match the Polaris plastic panel above them.

When picking colors, whichever component you choose to have a Polaris color, the other you must chose Satin Black or it will not be available for purchase. - thank you!

The colored components are the left and right Bumpers (round tube shapes), the Inserts (slotted panels in the center of each Bumper shape) and the Center Sides (the vertical panels on each side of the center grille). We can color these components one of two ways:

#1 - Bumper is Satin Black, Insert and Center Sides are the Polaris color:

#2 - Insert is Satin Black, Bumper and Center Sides are the Polaris color:

When picking colors, when you choose one part to have a Polaris color, the other part must Matte Black. Otherwise, it will not show as available for purchase.

2015-2017 Slingshots already have wiring harnesses in place so the sealed LED spotlight bars just plug right in and all you will need is an Otto dash switch and a BWD #R6367 or equivalent relay (not included). 2018-up models will require an accessory wiring kit.

      Windshield

I’m 6’1” went with the 20” in light smoke. Looks great and performs as expected at highway speeds.
      Would highly recommend!!!

      Good but not great.

I did a lot of research on wind screens before purchasing this. My short assessment is this: It's a well built, nice windshield but not worth spending $300 on. I've also used the Givi touring screen and this is only marginally better. If Givi and Madstad were the same price, I would choose Madstad, but it's just not better enough to justify $300.
I have the Madstad 22" on my 2018 CB500X and have extensively utilized the various adjustments in my testing.

      Great windscreen!

Excellent design and quality. Love the adjustability. Great protection. Had some manufacturing defects that I communicated with them which i believe should warrant a replacement but so far have been unresponsive. Disappointed about that.

      Adds a touch of class

Love the new improved look of my GL1800 with the tinted Madstad windshield. Its strong looking sleek design adds a touch of class to the bike. Its very effective in changing the wind around myself and my rider. Small adjustments make big changes in the wind patterns. Still looking for the sweetest spot but getting close. Some adjustment indicators on the brackets would be a welcome addition. I don't like that fact that the screws holding the brackets could actually damage the dash of your Goldwing if your not careful or accidentally release the factory adjustment. They even have a warning of this in the instructions, for this reason I don't believe this to be a truly custom fit. I feel like I paid for a 10 but only got an 8 1/2. Overall I think its a great looking windshield that's quite effective for its purpose.

“Before their install, I suffered from the constant, unmitigated buffeting at speeds above 40 mph. Now I can hear the engine, and that's a sound I like!"

“I have a stack of other windshields. I've bought over the years before I discovered the Madstad system, and none of them compare. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Madstad first!"

“Long rides at freeway speeds were the worst because of the buffeting. I installed the 18" Madstad screen, keeping it at the lowest setting, and the buffeting is gone. I now have a nice quiet air flow around my head and upper torso, regardless of speed.”
