What's included
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes: 

  • Adjustable bracket system
  • Acrylic windshield (18" in photo)
  • Installation hardware
  • All required mounting hardware 

Your bike will not require any modification and our system does not interfere with any factory accessories. You will not be able to use your stock shield, it is not compatible with the Madstad system and is too small to provide proper wind protection.

We've created a wider shield to give you better wind protection around your body but without getting in the way of your hand guards at full lock. Our bracket system attaches where the factory shield mounts and allows you to dial in the best height and angle to give you smooth airflow over your helmet while still allowing you to see over the top of the shield.

All Madstad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic.

All our windshields come in three color options (clear, medium gray and dark gray), as well as multiple sizes. Here are our best guidelines for measuring to find your optimal windshield size:

1) Review provided photo to determine the measuring point on the bike.

2) Measure up from the measuring point, maintaining the angle of the forks (two wheeled vehicles, 55-60 degrees for other models).  

3) Select the windshield size that will be aligned to mouth level.

All of our adjustable brackets have at least 2" of up down range to fine tune the fit and about 15 degrees of angle adjustment used to dial in clean air.

      24” for 2024 F3L

      The 24” adjustable solved the wind buffeting, especially for my wife that was really being beat up by the wind. Another problem that the windshield solved was not being able to hear the stereo at highway cruising speeds! With all of the wind buffeting being gone, now that we installed the 24” adjustable shield,we can now hear our music and we can actually hear each other when we need to communicate. The ONE thing that engineering needs to improve is that the mounts that attach to the bike need to be beefed up(thicker stock) because these mounts allow shake which is distracting and WILL eventually lead to METAL FATIGUE and possible failure. Overall, very pleased . Just beef up those mounts.

      The 2-peice bracket design, which enables the up/down and angle functions, can generally be tightened enough by only using the turn knob to sufficiently eliminate movement at road speed. 

      But for additional tightening — and to eliminate any movement, you can use a 10 mil crescent and #6 Allen tool to tighten the center screw or nut assembly. To keep things easy, do this only after you've dialed in the setting that you like best (it seems that you already have). Just keep in mind, that for future adjustments, you'd first want to loosen them slightly.

      The windshield took a bit more than 3 weeks to get to me. It was packaged well, and looks good. The install was fairly simple.
      The 1 issue was that one of the brackets was put together incorrectly.
      Both the pivot screw, and the adjusting screw were installed in the same slot. I just had to loosen the pivot screw and move it to the correct slot.

      AMAZING!! Live in Canada. Broke Windshield.[my stupidity] Had one on Before Until i Broke .Went East for Trip , REALLY MISSED Wind Protection Windshield is Super Thick. Best WIND Protection!! VERY SATISFIED!! 5 STAR RATING!! Give it a Try. Wii be Satisfied!!

      Best one yet fat bob 114

      FIRST: Install was easy despite not having a guide; their web link was not helpful but I managed to find a photo. Caution is needed with the locking knobs. They have small notches and a groove which must be precisely lined up. Again, a detailed instruction would be helpful. I figured it out being mechanically inclined but it could be harder for some.
      SECOND: the performance is great so far. I am 71" tall and ordered the 22" model for my fat bob 114. It has several tilt angles and im trying the one before max tilt which makes a HUGE difference with buffeting. I've chronic neck pain and usually cannot wear full face because of the buffeting but Madstad is a lot better. With the tilt one notch from fully back and height just below eye level I no longer feel the top of my head being smacked. The more vertical I adjust it the worse my head gets smacked around regardless of height-the tilt back is the best thing. There is still some lower buffeting regardless of height but it is not as noticeable and doesnt seem to hurt my neck but there is some helmet movement (my helmet is properly fitted). For someone without neck problems I would say you may not even notice. Again I had problems with several bikes regardless of helmet style-ultra classic, road glide, heritage, and a dyna with clip on shields and lowers. Every one was headache time but Madstad is doing a far better job.
      I'm still experimenting with different heights and angles; I can say confidently the adjustability makes the difference.

      I was missing 2 of the rubber nuts for the display screen, missing 2 screws, no instructions, had to spend money by going to a hardware store to put the screen on because every time I called for two days straight I magically cudnt get nobody on phone at all. So I had everything apart to replace the windscreen and realized I was missing essential pieces to even put it on to ride my bike
