    650 interceptor 22" windscreen

I ordered the 22" clear windscreen for the 650 Interceptor. The order came as described. It was well packaged and undamaged.
I am an inept mechanic or engineer. With no mechanical aptitude what so ever. I did not feel confident in my ability to put the windscreen on.
The directions were clear and I was able to put the windscreen on without many issues. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
I have ridden with the screen in place and it accomplishes everything that I hoped it would.

    Monkey Flyscreen

I've been impressed with Madstad items I've used previously and I was especially impressed with the design effort needed to fabricate screen mounting brackets that integrate so nicely on my 2024 Monkey. They were a bit tedious to install due to the location of the original screws that are used to secure the brackets. An open end wrench needs to be used with very short strokes, since their location doesn't allow much room to swing the wrench. The mount brackets fit very well and are barely visible with the screen removed. The screen brackets mate very nicely & snuggly with the mount brackets, with no opportunity for rattles. No modification of either bracket pair was needed during or after their installation. The headlight housing clearance profile at the bottom of the screen provides a very uniform & functional fit-up with a nice clean appearance. I haven't ridden my Monkey since installing the screen, but I have no doubt that it will improve the aerodynamics. I'm very pleased overall with the addition of this Flyscreen and it makes for a nicer Monkey face.

Ok but kind of strange fitment

I bolted the brackets on the angle was all off to mount the windshield so I took the brakets apart thinking maybe they just had assembled them wrong but that was not the case I actually ended up just bending the snot out of the brackets to get the windshield on and I understand that bending them probably made more contact with the windshield and probably holds it down better but this was never mentioned in the instructions and in the pictures on the instructions it clearly showed them bent flat like they’re supposed to be and to make matters worse they really really cheat us on hardware there was only 4 well nuts in the bag and sure that would do the job provided that all of the well nuts on the bike were good but they never are so I ended using the 4 on the bike side and then digging through my box of nuts and 4 regular nuts to hold the windshield to the new bracket and then I ordered a pack of 50 for like $20. Definitely not impressed with the installation problems but it seems like a nice product once it’s installed and that’s why it got 3 stars from me I’d give it 2.5 if that was an option

    Best dang windshield ever

I had seen a few Madstad windshields here and there. I had heard that they were really good too. But, I had never experienced one. The stock windshield was absolutely worthless on both high and low mounting points. I replaced it with another windshield (unnamed) and it was not much better but it was better looking and much more solid. So, I decided to give a Madstad a try on my 2021 KTM 890 Adventure. I watched
a Madstad Youtube video of how to determine the right size/height to purchase for me. Turned out it was spot on for me. The installation was super simple to do as the installation documentation was exceptional and simple. I set it up to the lowest position and the furthest back position after the installation was finished. Something that surprised me was the fit to my bike. I have Bark Busters on my handlebars and there was plenty of clearance and no contact with the windshield. My first ride out on it was to work the next morning and what a difference there was. I have not done any highway/long distance time with it yet but I am sure with what I have experienced so far, it should be a game changer.

“Before their install, I suffered from the constant, unmitigated buffeting at speeds above 40 mph. Now I can hear the engine, and that's a sound I like!"

“I have a stack of other windshields. I've bought over the years before I discovered the Madstad system, and none of them compare. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Madstad first!"

“Long rides at freeway speeds were the worst because of the buffeting. I installed the 18" Madstad screen, keeping it at the lowest setting, and the buffeting is gone. I now have a nice quiet air flow around my head and upper torso, regardless of speed.”
