MadStad's patented mounting system allows riders to adjust the height and angle of their motorcycle windshield resulting in much smoother airflow, better wind protection and a more comfortable ride than any fixed windshield can provide.
What's included in the kit
Our complete drop-in system is custom-made for your bike and includes everything needed to mount and position the shield. Your bike will not require any modification.

The MadStad adjustable brackets sit out in front of your fairing on our aluminum base plate which attaches in place of the factory shield. With the windshield now separated from the front of the bike and the fly screen helping to deflect wind up from underneath, you have total control over the shield height, angle and airflow. This lets you dial in a smooth ride and quieter cockpit far better than any fixed windshield can provide.
Size and Color
While the MadStad windshield systems are fully adjustable, we recommend starting with the appropriate shield size relative to rider height.

These are general recommendations and can vary depending on your inseam, seat height and riding position. We can also accommodate extra short or tall riders by special request.
HOW TO MEASURE: Sit on the bike and run a tape measure straight up from the ignition switch, and estimate where your chin level is as you look straight ahead. Then subtract 1-2 inches to get to one of the windshield sizes listed above. For example, if your chin level is at roughly the 19-20" line on the tape measure that means most likely you would need an 18" windshield. If chin level is at 21-22" then order a 20", if at 23-24" then order the 22" shield.
There are two styles of windshield for the Bandit 1250: the Adventure (rounded corners and bottom) and the Sport SD (diamond-shaped). Both work equally well, simply choose whichever one you feel would look best on your Bandit. There is a comparison of the two shapes on our photos bar.
All MadStad windshields are made from 3/16" (4.5 mm) thick cast acrylic and are available in six different tint colors. See photos bar for comparison image.
